National Guidelines for the Protection and Welfare of Children (ROI) and in Our Duty to Care (NI) are reflected throughout this document.

The GAA promotes fair play and respect in our work with children and young people while recognising the need for their safety and welfare.

This Code therefore places specific responsibilities on all sections, members and units of the Association to implement good practice when working with young people.

A word of gratitude is due to all who have worked on this project which places the GAA in greater standing in this area and I trust that the importance of this initiative will be fully grasped by all.

Rath Dé ar an obair.
